July 2011 - Healthy or Unhealthy lunches?

July 21, 2011. Warm, sunny day. The adult subject is eating pureed sweet potatoes.

July 5, 2011: Hotdogs are slowly being re-integrated into the daily meal. Hotdog, mac-n-cheese and flax seeds provide the perfect nutritional complement.
July 20, 2011: 4 sweet potatoes for one lunch!

A stick of butter, an apple and several old bags of bread top off this meal. We can't tell if this is a healthy or unhealthy lunch.

Showing that these foods can be eaten together or alone as a meal, we see a combination of sweet potato and mac-n-cheese.

Will the subject eat 5 year old blueberries?

From the subject: "It's only "better" if used by 06. Doesn't say for how long it is "good". I would not call that expired per se."

And as you can see, there are no regulations for what the blueberries will be eaten with. As always, anything goes!

TRENDING: Corn on the cob

May 10, 2011: Vertical cob with lunch in a cream puffs container.

June 3, 2011: Horizontal cob laying atop spaghetti and broccoli.

June 7, 2011: 2 cobs as a bed for a slice of pizza.

Salsa con queso anyone?

Please note the wear marks that prove the jar is in fact very old (2008!). We believe this destroys Subject's argument that the jar is fairly new and the expiration date is written in the European style.

There is definitely a glow about this cheese sauce.

Supi is back in business!

In an unconventional move, the subject provided fodder from the recent family camping trip:

Quote from subject:

"Subject located at Ricketts Glen State Park, PA campground, wearing a Palmyra Cougars t-shirt. Lunch consists of: full-strength Pepsi, some leaves of baby spinach for nutrition, bread that’s high in fiber, Parkay low-cholesterol spread, Heinz ketchup, hotdogs fried on a 2-flame Coleman camping grill. There were probably other components but the Subject doesn’t remember.

Lunch involving hotdogs can be made nutritious using healthy sides. "

Competition is brewing to see who is going to move into the original subject's spotlight. In the running we have...

Contender 1:

This little bottle of MSG made its way into the office after being tucked in the back of a kitchen cabinet.

One taste-tester remarked with a glint in his eye: "MSG makes salt taste so one dimensional." in addition: "it has so many tastes wrapped into one."

Q: "Are there any natural foods that contain MSG?" The answer: Doritos.

Contender 2:

During an afternoon lull, a half eaten sweet potato was noticed dreamingly sitting one cubicle over.
We were shoo'd away quickly, but I snuck a couple photos in.

Vote: Whose lunches do you want to see more of? Contender 1 or Contender 2.

I don't know what's on the middle plate.

Photo suggests two slices of bread - 1 slice approximately 25mm thick, the other slice barely visible - perhaps 3mm thick?
